proAV’s Take on the Peerless AV ...

AV and UC technology is moving faster than ever. At the 2025 AV Showcase, we saw what’s leading the way and how it’s reshaping the future of the workplace.

From immersive 3D displays to AI-powered cameras and large-format LED Displays, this event gave us a hands-on look at the innovations shaping the AV Industry. Our team at proAV had the opportunity to explore these technologies first-hand and share their insights on the standout solutions and real-world applications.

A New Perspective on 3D Visualisation

As immersive technologies continue to evolve, Sony’s ELF-SR2 highlights just how far 3D visualisation has come. It delivers interactive experiences without the need for glasses or headsets, using real-time eye-tracking and facial recognition to create a natural sense of depth and engagement. Seeing it in action brought its potential into focus — from museums and digital exhibitions to training spaces and AV planning, the ELF-SR2 offers a practical way to bring 3D content to life.

For Richard Mackie, Technical Solutions Architect at proAV, the Sony ELF-SR2 marked a standout moment:

"It's a genuinely impressive 3D effect now with a display size that is practical for a variety of applications - paired with the right peripherals and software I can imagine some really engaging projects in the CX and Retail space."

Smarter Framing with Crestron’s 1 Beyond Range

Continuing the focus on intelligent technologies, Crestron showcased its 1 Beyond PTZ camera range. Using AI-driven tracking, the camera automatically follows speakers as they move and adjusts framing when others join, maintaining focus without the need for manual input. It’s a solution built for dynamic environments, from boardrooms to events, and its certification for both Teams and Zoom makes it a flexible option.

For Shay McKenna, Technical Solutions Architect at proAV, the intelligent tracking in Crestron’s 1 Beyond range made a clear difference:

"The 1 Beyond range really shows how well Crestron has thought through the user experience. It handles movement and multiple speakers with ease, which makes a real difference for both in-room and remote participants."

How DTEN Vue Pro Makes Meetings More Inclusive

Shifting the focus from immersive display to intelligent collaboration, DTEN’s Vue Pro stood out for its innovative camera technology. Its 4K resolution and multi-lens design ensure everyone is clearly framed, regardless of where they’re seated. Unlike traditional single-lens setups, the Vue Pro uses AI and side-mounted lenses to track and frame participants accurately even those at the edges of the table. This improves facial recognition and creates a more inclusive meeting experience.

For Mathew Byrne, Senior Account Manager at proAV, the attention to detail in DTEN’s camera design left a strong impression:

"The DTEN Vue Pro really stood out, especially how the additional side cameras supported facial recognition. They simply slot in via USB and make a big difference in larger meeting rooms. That level of thought in the design really stood out for me."

Unilumin’s Take on Practical LED

Visual display was another area that stood out to our team, particularly the LED solutions demonstrated by Unilumin. We had the chance to see the UTV SC Series LED Conference All-In-One (COB), which presented a wide range of potential use cases. From conference rooms and training spaces to exhibition halls, this powerful LED series is available in sizes up to 162 inches and stood out for both its scale and flexibility.

What made it unique was its simplicity of operation and a 50% reduction in reflectivity, which greatly improves visibility in bright environments. Seeing it in person made a real difference, and learning about its low power consumption was also important as we continue to align our AV solutions with ESG practices.

For Matt Bourke, Senior Account Manager at proAV, the usability of Unilumin’s UTV SC Series was a key takeaway:

“The UTV SC Series seems impressively easy to work with — a large-format display that’s quick to set up and looks great. It’s ideal for spaces like conference rooms, training areas, or other multi-function spaces.”

Final Thoughts

From practical LED solutions to AI-powered cameras and immersive 3D displays, Peerless AV's Showcase made it clear how rapidly AV technology is evolving. The focus wasn’t just on innovation. It was on real, usable solutions that improve how people connect, present and collaborate.

That sentiment was echoed by Liz Igoe, Account Manager at proAV:

“What really stood out at this year's AV Showcase was how far workplace tech has come, especially with AI and camera tracking. It was great to see just how smart some of these systems have gotten. The demonstrations of auto-framing cameras and voice-tracking systems really highlighted how far the industry has come in creating more natural, inclusive communication experiences that encourage new ways of collaboration for hybrid working.”

This year’s showcase clearly demonstrated the rapid advancement of AV and UC technologies. As we look ahead to next year’s event, it is an ideal time to consider how these innovations can enhance your own environment.
