Stockport Homes Group moved their HQ to the new 54,500 sq.ft., four-storey Cornerstone office building in Stockport town centre. Designed by AEW Architects to house over 400 employees, it has set new levels of design standards for office buildings in Stockport.
Following a favourable recommendation by a neighbouring housing association, proAV tendered to the client and were commissioned to deliver AV technology across its meeting and community spaces including building-wide digital signage, projection, audio and wireless presentation and collaboration systems.

The result is shared collaboration spaces for both employees and visitors.
Having completed a similar project for another local housing provider, proAV was familiar with the needs of a client in this industry and designed the scheme around its requirement for seamless, public-facing interaction and enhanced workplace agility and unity. Cornerstone is now a cutting-edge facility in which employees and visitors share flexible collaboration and presentation spaces, motivational meeting areas and coherent, customised corporate and public information messaging.
Our solution
proAV’s solution comprised a building-wide AV scheme that focussed on projection, digital signage, presentation and collaboration which would revolutionise the Group’s adoption of agile working, hot desking and public and private meeting spaces.
In terms of signage, a number of digital displays on each floor stream public information content to visitors and employees while three large displays in the ground floor reception space project content to passers-by.
Upstairs, a series of meeting rooms, presentation spaces, brainstorm hubs and a boardroom house dedicated wireless collaboration systems with fixed and mobile displays to provide a versatile AV network that can be easily adapted to serve other areas.
Key technologies include Barco Clickshare and Crestron switching and control with iPad Air 2 tablets. The digital signage, TV server and room booking systems are all from Onelan.
