Anglo American is a multinational mining company with global headquarters in London, England. Anglo American owns 85% of De Beers, the world’s leading diamond company and share the same building for their head offices in London.
This project for Anglo American and De Beers was a complete reinvention of the original De Beers headquarters near Hatton Garden, taking it right back to the structure frame of the original building which was then reconfigured and re-cladded to create a contemporary new home and a flexible and inspiring collaborative workplace for around 750 employees.
The project has had its core focus on sustainability from reusing the existing building structure through to a focus on sustainable initiatives such as integrating smart technologies and green roofs throughout.
As part of this project, proAV won the tender to update and improve the AV facilities, an integral part of the refurbishment works, to include design, supply, installation and commissioning, training and documentation.

Our solution
proAV installed a central distribution infrastructure based on industry leading Crestron DigitalMedia solutions, a Crestron control system and QSC DSP for audio management. Key display technologies on the project included LG LED displays throughout all meeting rooms with LG video wall solutions in key public locations and Christie projection in the ground floor restaurant.
For the meeting spaces Cisco Webex Room Kits provide the video conferencing platform and intelligent collaboration tools alongside Air Server wireless collaboration tools. Smaller spaces utilise integrated speakers and mics whilst larger spaces benefit from dedicated cameras and speakers.
The impressive DDS or Diamond Discovery Suite uses Microsoft Surface Hub 2S technology to create an inclusive collaboration space for staff and guests.
