British Land is one of the largest property development and investment companies in the United Kingdom with a portfolio of high-quality UK commercial property on London campuses and retail & London urban logistics assets throughout the UK.
British Land are developing a huge 53-acre site at Canada Water, one of the largest mixed use regeneration projects in London to include new net-zero homes, workspaces, retail, leisure, entertainment and community space including a leisure centre and public park. Part of this regeneration required the refurbishment of the former Dock Managers Office building which was to become a workspace for the project team, masterplan marketing suite and marketing suite for residential property sales.
The marketing suite will showcase an evolving exhibition of buildings within the Canada Water Masterplan highlighting the ethos and aspirations of the whole development.
The 120-year-old Grade II-listed building has now been sympathetically restored by contractor Wates who worked carefully with interior design team Conran & Partners to showcase original features and remove 1980s conversions.
Working to a tight timescale, proAV supported this project by integrating the latest AV and video conferencing technologies into the marketing suite and demo spaces as well as the main onsite office facilities.
Our solution
In the main foyer of the residential marketing suite, a Samsung LED videowall measuring 3.2m by 1.8m presents promotional brand videos alongside detailed scale models, bringing the site to life for visitors. An interactive 86” Dell display supported by Yamaha slim line array speakers enables demonstrations and exploration of the residential spaces on offer, and the in-building show apartments each have a designated Samsung 4K LED TV with Sonos Beam Soundbar to demonstrate available AV options.
Meeting rooms on the ground and first floor of the residential marketing suite combine Samsung UHD Displays with Logitech Meetup Conference cameras supported by Kramer HDMI transmitters and receivers to support external AV inputs during BYOD meetings. AV distribution is managed through Crestron control panels throughout the spaces.
