proAV were engaged to deliver AV facilities to the Fenchurch Street offices with work being completed in two phases. Initially, the first phase covered levels one to four in the offices. The second phase followed Aviva purchased additional floors and redesigned parts of the first level in the building. Both phases were delivered in compressed install windows, including the rapid conversion of the lower level cafeteria into a fully-fledged event venue in three months.

With the Aviva project, one of the biggest technical challenges was the scale of the dedicated AV network with proAV handling the implementation of Fenchurch Street’s AV switching architecture. This included MVX video over IP, NDI, Date, and general AV control traffic across multiple Vlans.

The finished project has Microsoft Teams meeting room setups that use Crestron control with either Logitech Rally Bars or in the case of larger meeting spaces, including Poly Studio E70 cameras paired with Samsung displays. Audio enhancements for meeting spaces include Shure ceiling microphone arrays. Room booking functionality is provided by Logitech Tap room schedulers. 

Digital signage throughout the building features Samsung displays set up in digital media totems to communicate business messaging while the reception area features a 5m x 1.7m Unilumin videowall LED display Fenchurch Street also has several high-profile spaces for events and broadcasting. 

The lower levels host a Large Event Area and stage that features a 6.6m x 2.4m DigiLED wall on each side. The DigiLED solution was chosen for its Zeus power management features that deliver lower power consumption, longer lifespan, and ESG benefits. The space also features confidence monitors and additional Panasonic PTZ cameras. The space also has a dedicated AV control room to handle presentation elements and recording of content. Aviva uses multi camera workflows for corporate events and broadcasts so it was important to have facilities to support their productions.

Also on this level is a divisible meeting room, designed primarily for training and group meetings with Samsung displays, Poly Studio E70s, Panasonic PTZ cameras and Shure ceiling microphone arrays. 

On the higher levels, Aviva’s has a substantial hybrid NDI and SDI full broadcast studio tailored for media and interview content. It includes a Tricaster setup with multiple mix effects, a dedicated full production desk to handle content captured through Panasonic PTZ cameras, Shure and Sennheiser microphones and Yamaha audio mixing systems. The Aviva studio is unusually advanced for a corporate environment.

Following the completion of the project, proAV provides Aviva with a comprehensive service level agreement that manages third party warranties for key AV systems such as the Unilumin videowall. The agreement also includes helpdesk support and annual preventative maintenance visits.
