Day 1 Overview at ISE 2026

03/02/26
Day 1 Overview at ISE 2026

AV and UC technologies are moving beyond individual products, with greater focus on how systems work together in real environments. Integration, usability, and scalability are now central to collaboration and workplace solutions.

ISE 2026, the world’s largest AV and UC exhibition, has kicked off in Barcelona, bringing together manufacturers and technology partners from across the industry. Our team is on the show floor, engaging with partners and exploring a range of AV, collaboration, and workplace solutions to support current client requirements and inform how our offerings continue to evolve.

Crestron

Crestron showcased how it unifies content, collaboration, and control to create exceptional experiences across commercial, education, and residential environments. Visitors were able to get hands-on with the latest Crestron innovations, including AI-powered audio and video, platform-native conferencing, intelligent automation, and seamless media distribution for modern workplaces and learning spaces.

Among the latest solutions on show, Collab Compute is a purpose-built hardware platform for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms on Windows, designed to deliver consistent, scalable collaboration across nearly any space through integrated edge AI, enterprise security, and native peripheral support. Crestron’s intelligent 1Beyond cameras and speaker tracking solutions had new developments.

Automate VX 6.5 firmware-based multi-camera speaker tracking solution update helps to improve intelligent video accuracy and its own AutoMeasure feature uses computer vision and ArUco markers to automatically measure camera and microphone placement, simplifying setup while ensuring accurate, high-quality video at scale. This will help support Crestron’s 1 Beyond i12D intelligent 4K PTZ cameras with built-in microphones, speaker tracking, and Visual AI, enabling features like group framing and intelligent switching without complex programming.

Also on show, Crestron demonstrated what DM NAX Intelligent Audio provides a scalable, AI-ready audio platform with advanced DSP, noise reduction, and Direction of Arrival Audio, delivering clear sound and precise speaker tracking for spaces of all sizes and optimization for tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot and Zoom AI Assistant.

Google Beam

One of the most talked-about demonstrations on Day 1 came from Google, with Google Beam offering a glimpse into the future of immersive video communication Formerly known as Project Starline, Google Beam is an AI-first video communication platform that delivers life-sized, 3D meetings without headsets or complex setup. Using advances in AI, 3D imaging, and spatial audio, it recreates the realism of in-person interactions, enabling subtle cues like micro-expressions to be read clearly. Demonstrated on the HP Dimension, Google Beam provides an advanced glasses-free 3D display, effectively an 8K panel delivering a 4K image to each eye. Multiple cameras track head and eye movement in real time, allowing the on-screen person to appear as a hologram-like presence with genuine depth, perspective, and true eye contact, even as viewers move around. While currently focused on one-to-one interactions, potential applications include high-stakes meetings in legal, investigative, or executive settings, with multi-participant scenarios under development.

If you’re interested in arranging a live demo, please reach to proAV through our sales team.

Alongside Google Beam, Google is highlighting Google Meet hardware designed for meeting rooms and hybrid work. These solutions offer AI-powered support, interoperability with Zoom and Webex, and cloud-based security through Google Workspace, including default encryption and data sovereignty options. The display also features Google Meet on Neat devices, combining Google AI with Neat’s meeting room hardware such as Neat Bar Generation 2, Neat Bar Pro, Neat Pad, and Neat Center.

Panasonic

Panasonic focused on reducing the friction between high-impact visuals and real-world deployment. The PT-RQ45 projector stood out by delivering true 4K visuals at 42,000 lumens, suitable for large venues, live events, and immersive installations, without a noticeable increase in size or weight. It is designed for demanding, continuous-use environments, with built-in redundancy to help maintain operation if part of the system fails. For clients, this means high-quality visuals in challenging spaces without added complexity in transport, installation, or system design. It reflects a practical approach to developing projection technology that fits real deployment requirements.

Alongside projection, Panasonic also highlighted a new 55-inch modular LED video wall platform designed for signage, retail, and large-format display applications. The TL-55LV12A focuses on reducing installation and maintenance complexity while supporting continuous 24/7 operation in public-facing environments where consistency matters. Its modular design allows displays to scale across different spaces, reinforcing the same practical, deployment-led thinking seen across Panasonic’s wider portfolio.

Cisco

Cisco's presence at ISE centred on how AI-powered collaboration is reshaping the workplace for a more distributed workforce. Powered by Codec EQ in RoomOS mode, Cisco demonstrated a cinematic, AI-driven meeting environment using Room Vision PTZ and Quad Cameras, Link Local connectivity, premium microphones, intuitive room navigators, and a Samsung 105” 21:9 ultra-wide display.

Beyond the showcase, the Webex Suite with AI Assistant was on show as well. It offers unified calling, meetings, messaging, and events into one secure platform, enhanced with features like automated summaries, voice commands, and smart scheduling. Cisco also highlighted its Desk Series, AI-powered personal devices designed for any workstyle, transforming desks into smart collaboration hubs. Completing the vision, Cisco Spaces delivered real-time location intelligence, occupancy analytics, and environmental insights, enabling smarter, safer, and more efficient workplaces.

Axeos

At the show, we caught up with Axeos, a specialist manufacturer of AV-integrated furniture and solutions. Speaking with their team highlighted how AV-integrated furniture has moved from a background element to a core part of the meeting experience. As demand grows for seamless, zero-defect spaces, furniture now acts as the physical interface between people and technology, shaping usability, brand perception, and professionalism by hiding complexity and visual clutter so technology fades into the background.

With AV technology evolving far faster than furniture lifecycles, AV-integrated furniture is increasingly viewed as long-term collaboration infrastructure. Through modular design, upgrade paths, and durability, it helps organisations protect investment while supporting hybrid work and more human-centred office environments. The result is meeting spaces that feel intuitive today and adaptable for the future, positioning AV-integrated furniture as a strategic enabler of modern collaboration.

Conclusion

With Day 1 at ISE 2026 complete, a clear theme has emerged: the industry is moving beyond individual products toward integrated, experience-led systems designed for real-world use. From AI-driven collaboration platforms and immersive communication to practical advances in projection, audio, and the physical meeting environment, the focus is firmly on solutions that scale, deploy reliably, and improve day-to-day usability. Stay tuned for our Day 2 blog, where we’ll be sharing further updates and highlights as the week unfolds.
