Across five campuses in the Grangegorman, Blanchardstown, Bolton Street Tallaght, and Aungier Street, the University is a TU Dublin is a national leader in STEM, engineering, creative arts, and business education, combining academic excellence with real-world application through a practice-based, employer-engaged model of learning.
A new teaching and learning facility, Áras Thuaidh (North House in English), located at the Tallaght campus, was established to provide new classrooms, computer labs, lecture theatres, and practice-based learning facilities to support the university’s engineering, science, hospitality and culinary arts programmes. The university required best in class AV facilities to meet the demands of media rich presentations and to enable video conferencing for capturing lectures and demonstrations. This would ensure the best possible learning experience for current and prospective students.

Our solution
Selected to provide TU Dublin with AV facilities for Áras Thuaidh , proAV delivered a standardised solution across the various teaching spaces. Depending on the room type, displays installed in classrooms were either iiyama 4K screens or Panasonic laser projectors, with lecture theatres favouring laser projection.
AV has been installed in unique practice environments tailored for the leisure and hospitality sectors, including dedicated hotel, kitchen, and café classrooms, to enhance the learning experience in these fast-paced settings.
Each room’s core AV system is operated via an Extron touch screen control panel located at the main teaching podium or station. Through the Extron control system, lecturers can select from several input options, including wireless presentation via the Mersive Solstice Pod and WolfVision 4K Visualisers.
