proAV’s AV solution was part of a wider plan to transform the offices of Slough Borough Council. Improving the functionality of the space as well as the aesthetics for employees and visitors. 

A huge council chamber on the ground floor provides the council with a professional space for Full Council, Planning and Committee meetings as well as conferences and functions and has been equipped with the very latest, professional delegate communication, conferencing and voting technologies. A Televic wireless delegate conference solution with integrated voting buttons and RFID card reader allows for freedom of movement and participant flexibility whilst also being easy to control and reliable. 4no 75” Philips displays, and Sony PTZ cameras which are fully integrated with the Televic delegate microphone system support the additional capability of live web streaming and which is provided through Civico webcasting software. The professional audio solution combines Extron ceiling speakers, BSS DSP audio processor and Crown amplifiers with Audio Technica wireless microphones.

Across the remaining offices and meeting rooms proAV combined Mersive Solstice wireless presentation systems with 4K Philips LED displays and Poly RealPresence Trio 8800 conference phones for simple yet effective communication with Skype for Business (Now MS Teams) all managed by Crestron MPC3 presentation controllers. 

Additional meeting zones were designed with flexible movement in mind. A series of Pods and Booths across the three floors provide simple breakout areas with Philips LED displays and HDMI connectivity. A Tranquil Space is created by paring relaxed furniture and colours with simple audio solutions, a Denon media player, Cloud amplifier and Ecler ceiling speakers. In contrast the Get Active Space was designed for teamwork activity and includes a 75” Clevertouch interactive display to enable collaborative group work.

A Tripleplay digital signage and IPTV network was introduced in order to stream information to staff and visitors throughout the building. NEC 48” LFD displays located in the high traffic areas around lift lobbies were utilised to run Tripleplay wayfinding content services with integrated IPTV for displays in waiting areas.

Thanks to the close working relationship between proAV’s project team and the client, Slough Borough Council’s new modern and stylish HQ has been equipped with state-of-the-art AV services which enables the workforce to work more efficiently and flexibly.
