Balfour Beatty

Project length:

Six months

Sea Containers House is the iconic Thames-side building that sits between OXO Tower and Blackfriars Bridge and now the home of the exclusive hotel Sea Containers London, owned by the Lore Group.

Originally designed as a luxury hotel by renowned American designer, Warren Platner, in the 1970s and later used as offices, Sea Containers House has been restored as a magnificent landmark hotel that occupies the lower three storeys of the building. Complete with sumptuous interiors and restaurants, bars, roof terraces and walkways that take in the stunning river-front landscape, Sea Containers has made waves for its architectural design, interior styling and its technological ingenuity.
