proAV was awarded the contract to install a pioneering integrated audio visual solution in the John Henry Brookes and Abercrombie Buildings at the University’s Headington Campus. This architecturally award-winning space comprises a 24,000 scheme that forms part of the University’s progressive ‘Space to Think’ initiative and includes a new library, a main social learning space, lecture theatres, a student services centre, teaching accommodation and commercial and retail space.
Central to the success of this project was the calibre of the technologies deployed throughout the buildings. High definition displays, video conferencing, lecture capture, digital signage, remote management and PA and background music systems reflect the University’s commitment to audio visual innovation across this outstanding learning environment. Areas include 25 teaching and computer rooms, 3 lecture rooms and theatre, VIP conference room, meeting rooms, multi-use hall, studios, library, lounge bar/food hall/café-deli bar and art gallery.
Widescale projection, display, video, audio and interactive teaching technologies were installed in the Headington Buildings teaching/computing, lecture and VIP conference rooms, including the John Henry Brookes Lecture Theatre, library teaching rooms, multi-use hall and communal areas, café and food hall. The Abercrombie’s state-of-the-art Planning and Urban Design Studio and Art Gallery now boast remarkable projection, display and other AV technologies including Interior Architecture Teaching Studio mobile systems to make this a truly versatile space.
