The client produced an initial brief that outlined the requirements for an audio visual solution that would equip three key sectors within its Aerospace Centre facility with professional presentation, demonstration and video conferencing capabilities, based around dynamic, interactive video wall arrangements.
proAV worked closely with the client to interpret its exact requirements and develop a more sophisticated specification that would not only meet those needs, but further increase its potential with additional options that would provide a truly flexible, versatile and future proof solution. Following extensive consultation, which included an overseas demonstration of proAV’s recommended media wall system, the project got underway.
Sectors A, B and C were designated as the key areas to be equipped with AV technologies and central to the project were its display capabilities. Sector A, the key client-facing space featured HD 3D LED-lit units arranged in an impactful 3x2 configuration with interactive touchscreens and halo lighting, all set within branded media wall surround and staging. The video wall can accommodate up to six sources that can be display simultaneously. A world-class telepresence system and comprehensive controls via AV2 processor and two iPads ensure high-level meetings and presentations are conducted professionally and impressively in this superbly redesigned room.
A further client-facing space, Sector B, was treated in equally high profile style, with an interactive, three-screen HD LCD video wall mounted on floor to ceiling poles and which clients can approach and manipulate on-screen imagery with effortless drag-and-drop gesturing. These screens can display three separate feeds or a single source across the video wall. The third area covered by this AV solution is a smaller space used primarily by IT personnel and houses a further substantial media wall set in a 4x2 configuration and comprising eight full HD, LED display screens with HDMI video switching and professional HD audio.
The result is a powerful AV solution that seamlessly integrates large format displays with stunning interactivity, enterprise grade telepresence, presentation audio and user-friendly controls - all managed through handheld and base station-mounted iPad units.
The installation itself took a staged approach that enabled each sector to take just weeks to conclude. Undoubtedly, central to the success of this project was the period of consultation and collaboration with the client that resulted in its workforce benefitting from considerably more flexibility and functionality than would otherwise have been achieved.
