Our client is a global investment bank and part of a world leading financial services organisation that was formed almost 100 years ago. This internationally renowned company provides individual investors and corporate clients with a broad range of services, including an investment advisory service, wealth management services and securities underwriting as part of a high, value-added products and services portfolio.

When the organisation’s new European Headquarter building in the City of London was commissioned, proAV was awarded the contract to deliver extensive professional audio visual and broadcasting facilities by the UK’s leading AV consultancy, Mark Johnson Consultants (MJC). MJC is a specialist audio and visual systems consultancy set up to provide independent consultancy services to end users and the construction industry.

The project brief

The project centred around two key solutions; a corporate AV package, which was recognised as one of the world’s largest corporate AV projects ever commissioned, and a broadcast package. Both packages were delivered simultaneously, completed on time, within budget and according to the precise specification designed by MJC.

The project integrated many of the AV industry’s most groundbreaking AV and broadcast systems, notably the extensive Crestron DigitalMedia switching and control platform - proAV is proud to have installed the world’s most substantial Crestron DigitalMedia facility at time of install. This project also incorporated the world’s biggest Q-Sys integrated audio processing and mixing solution developed by QSC Audio Products.

The key features of this groundbreaking project include an outstanding 216 seat auditorium with associated control room, providing professional multimedia presentation facilities for investor presentations, product launches, press briefings etc.

Based around a substantial front projection system of three ceiling mounted projectors with soft edge blending technology to provide a dynamic continuous image across an ultra large format screen.

A vast range of meeting rooms were equipped with video conferencing systems and support by state-of-the-art codecs, cameras, input sources and integrated controls. In addition the trading floors were equipped with banks of stunning LCD displays to broadcast IPTV, digital signage and infrastructure video distribution.

Building wide IPTV, digital signage and support software were integrated into this world class AV solution. The entire facility is supported by two dedicated technical engineers provided by proAV who compliment a team of eight permanent staff to provide preventative maintenance and support our client’s AV events.

Onsite support service

On completion of the project, proAV was awarded the support and maintenance for EMEIA, a hybrid model of an onsite support and maintenance agreement provided on time and materials basis to provide cost efficiencies to the client. We deployed a Senior Commissioning Engineer as part of the onsite team to ensure a comprehensive skills and knowledge transfer.

Now, with proAV’s all-embracing support services, our client now enjoys full on-site, immediate technical cover on all AV and multimedia facilities from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.

Our team is stationed in the client’s vast Media Control Room with access to its associated Media Equipment Room, Edit Suites, AVMER Main Equipment Room, Television Studio and Gallery and its cover includes the following key features:

  • Complete management of all multimedia systems and above AV systems
  • Support for launching and monitoring video conferencing calls
  • Visibility of all rooms via specialist systems
  • Management of the auditorium event space
