The organisation’s headquarters for its UK operations occupies ten floors of the iconic Leadenhall Building at 122 Leadenhall Street and commonly known as the Cheesegrater. proAV was commissioned by specialist AV consultant, PTS Consulting to equip the company’s business space with a far-reaching AV solution that would enhance its communication, presentation and collaboration facilities that it shares with its workforce, partners and clients around the world.

The project brief

Having successfully tendered for what was proAV’s second Leadenhall Building project, proAV was commissioned to install an integrated audio visual scheme across its space in floors four to 13, including two client spaces on 4th and 5th floors. Multiple meeting and video conferencing rooms, executive offices, amphitheatres, interactive memory rooms, engine room presentation spaces, business lounge, reception area and security office, a café/restaurant and Town Hall space and a series of collaboration zones and touchdown spaces were to be transformed into a high tech corporate environment where large format dynamic displays, digital signage, video conferencing, seamless control, automation and remote management systems, IPTV distribution and room booking technologies are all-embracing and completely harmonised.

Key areas include the first floor reception area where two vast LED media walls with a display area of 3840x2400mm and three 55” bezel-less displays in a landscape media wall configuration welcome and stream signage and IPTV content via a digital video switching matrix and PC and IPTV/signage input sources. Client areas include divisible spaces that serve as quad or single rooms and dual rooms adjourning café areas to form event spaces and a business lounge with meeting and video conferencing rooms with fine dining areas and waiter call panels.

Multiple stunning amphitheatres are used as a single or twin interactive training rooms with large format interactive smartboards, projection and audio conferencing facilities for corporate staff presentations. Throughout the space, informal collaboration and presentation areas are equipped with interactive displays and communication equipment. Floor Ten hosts the organisation’s senior executives with a distinctly private and secure area with its own access and, among the technology, displays and desktop video conferencing facilities.

The café, restaurant and Town Hall space is a vast and highly flexible space with standalone meeting rooms that can be combined with restaurant/café or divided with demountable partitions to be used for larger scale functions and events. Two magnificent video walls, flat panel displays and projection systems with video and audio conferencing and IPTV/signage make this one of the building’s most versatile spaces.

A far-reaching AV solution that would enhance the organisation’s communication, presentation and collaboration facilities that it shares with its workforce, partners and clients around the world.
