Role Overview

The purpose of your role is to take ownership of quality standards, resourcing and reporting of any defects or delays to Project Manager so that customer expectations are met. As part of your role, you will have the understanding to follow schematics, cable schedules, site plans, scope of works and drawings and perform the lead engineering role where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of the on-site installation team from first fix to commissioning
  • Ensuring that the AV system is installed in accordance with the project Scope of works and or brief and functioning
  • Resource planning including project updates, risk reporting, logistics & consumable requests, and on-site resources
  • Representing the PM in their absence and sign off for completion of small projects or where delegated
  • Clear and concise communication both internal and external, and attending coordination meetings where appropriate
  • Maintaining H&S files and safe systems of work for the project and conducting H&S awareness briefings
  • Quality assurance to include reviews of installation activities

Desirable Skills

  • Working knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements and their installation (including AMX, Crestron, Extron, audio DSP, Video conferencing, etc.)
  • Technical knowledge of AV equipment, design concepts and schematic drawings
  • Understanding of client needs, room environments and use
