Support - On-site AV Support Technician

South East and London

 

proAV is looking for an on-site AV technician to work within a small team. Vacancies exist in London

PRINCIPLE DUTIES 

• Provide full time on-site support 40 hours per week 

• Liaise with clients IT / FM teams to agree daily tasks and activities 

• Support AV / IT facilities across all sites with particular emphasis on Flagship and Mega-Flagship stores 

• Set up and test equipment prior to meetings / presentations 

• Proactively train and support end users, as well as prepare relevant documentation for the purpose of training and updates. 

• Liaise with and manage relationships with third party suppliers 

• Complete daily / system checks to ensure equipment is in operable condition 

• Provide support on an individual basis to users at all levels of seniority 

• Attend and remain on station for important events; specifically high profile store events and launches 

• Ensure that all systems are checked on a daily, weekly basis 

• Manage consumables and stock holding of spares etc 

• Locate faults or problems and provide solutions on a first / second line basis and provide a work around, deploy loan equipment where necessary 

• Other IT / technology related activities as may be required by the client 

 

REQUIRED SKILL SETS & EXPERIENCE 

• Strong Windows OS Experience all services & applications 

• Windows XP/7 

• Server – Windows 2003-2009 

• General desktop support 

• EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) 

• Good understanding of Apple Technology 

• Good understanding of TCP/IP networks with operation, maintenance & troubleshooting knowledge 

• IP Connectivity 

• Subnets 

• Firewall settings 

• Understanding of display technologies 

• Display drivers 

• Christie Microtiles / Prysm LPD Cubes 

• Christie Spyder videowall processors & configs 

• Omnivex / Dataton experience (or similar) 

• Good communication and presentation skills 

• General AV Support Experience 

• CTS 

• Events experience
