Crestron has now come up with the ultimate, integrated automated home control solution. The Crestron Mobile Pro™, or e-Control Mobility Solution takes full advantage of the usability of Apple’s iPhone and iPod devices and the accessibility of the iTunes App Store and is a radical departure from contemporary control systems.
It’s now possible to use your iPhone or iPod as a remote for your home automation system, or to control all the lights and environmental settings in your home.
A professional Crestron touchpanel interface on your iPhone screen
When you download the Crestron Mobile Pro™ app from the iTunes App Store, you’ll see a professional-looking Crestron touchpanel user interface on your screen and be able to customise all kinds of controls directly from your device.
Crestron Mobile Pro™ talks directly to the control system without any third-party software or external services. You simply tap the screen to select movies, music and TV in any room or adjust volume, light levels and room temperature with just a touch. Using the home Wi-Fi network locally or 3G or EDGE networks remotely, Crestron’s solution passes all home automation controls to a single accessible device.
New locations can be added by opening the ‘Connections’ page on the device and the ability to add customised buttons, graphics and dynamic text is easy and intuitive with the installer. There’s also a large library of built-in graphics to help with custom designs.
Updates or changes to the control program are automatically sent to the iPhone or iPod when Crestron Mobile Pro™ is launched.
