proAV is exhibiting at The Public Property Summit to be held on 1st and 2nd November at the Business Design Centre in London.

This is the first event to bring public and private property professionals together to evaluate the impact of the current economic climate and to plan ahead in the wake of the Chancellor’s Spending Review which was unveiled this week.

proAV has considerable expertise in delivering integrated audio visual solutions that help both private and public sector organisations reduce their costs and increase performance in an increasingly volatile property marketplace.

Today, as government departments face public scrutiny and radical financial cutbacks, the opportunities for unified communications that help cut costs and improve productivity are inevitably being evaluated more closely, as Ian Wallington, proAV’s Director, Government and Public Sector Division, reveals.

‘The pressure is on government departments to reduce the cost of public sector accommodation, for example, by relocating civil servants beyond London to more inexpensive properties,’ he explains. ‘Unified communications, notably video conferencing systems, which make for effortless collaboration across sites and through teleworking, are already changing the way the private sector communicates and performs; public sector take-up is inevitable.

“Unified communications, which make for effortless collaboration across sites and through teleworking, are already changing the way the private sector communicates and performs; public sector take-up is inevitable.”

‘In reality, the adoption of these technologies by the public sector is growing and, as time, cost and environmental savings are being recognised, we expect the property market in particular to invest in more efficient operational processes. Likewise, the integration of AV solutions into building management systems are appealing to property management organisations who are facing similar pressures to deliver their services more efficiently and with more profitable yields.’

The demand for efficient building management systems has never been higher

Indeed, the demand for increasingly efficient building management systems that automate and take control of working environments has never been higher. The economic savings that are derived from intelligent management systems that keep occupied spaces comfortable and controlled 24/7 can be vast and, in today’s property market, keeping the cost of mechanical and electrical services low is paramount to building owners.

The Public Property Summit also features free seminars, including sessions on asset and estate management, financing, public private partnerships, outsourcing and procurement. More than 60 leading exhibitors in the property and construction market will be at the Summit.
