Originating in 1825, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is one of the UK's largest universities with 24,440 students in Liverpool and a further 5540 students associated with 72 partner organisations. LJMU was the first, and is still the only, university to adopt the EFQM European Excellence Model which has enabled it to evolve into a forward-thinking, modern and commercially aware university.

proAV was called in to equip LJMU's new £32m Art and Design Academy building which is set in the heart of Liverpool's creative quarter and this year won an award for it's architectural design for Rick Mather Architects.

The sheer scale and state-of-the-art architectural scheme of the building presented many challenges which were naturally approached with proAV's traditional brand of innovation and enthusiasm from the Education Division's design team.

A comprehensive range of conferencing, meeting, training and presentation rooms at this new purpose-built building required a forward thinking AV solution throughout. Indeed, sophisticated and wide ranging audio visual equipment that incorporates the industry's latest cutting-edge technology was installed across the new academy building.

Today, LJMU's new audio visual facilities include groundbreaking AV equipment from high-impact display systems to fully-interactive audio and video conferencing as well as bespoke lecture and multimedia presentation facilities. In addition, a dynamic digital signage network designed to manage displays from a central location was installed and exciting media content continues to dominate the academy building.
