HBOS is the UK's largest mortgage and savings provider and one of the country's leading providers of insurance and investment products. The group also provides business banking and corporate finance, delivering a range of funding solutions as part of its multi-brand strategy within the UK and overseas.

proAV was commissioned by HBOS to enhance the organisation's digital signage solutions and supply additional display equipment to a network of HBOS call centres across the UK.

The solution had to be flexible, intuitive and capable of managing multiple input devices, including TV, DVD, video and PC units. TV content, training materials, company announcements and general information and statistics needed to be presented to HBOS employees in a high quality visual format with user-friendly controls, management and distribution.

proAV installed nine complete display suites in locations across the UK and worked with the manufacturer of the industry's leading multimedia distribution architecture to deliver a system that fulfilled the demanding requirements of this network of busy call centre environments.

Each location is now able to select, manage and distribute audio and video signals from a host of input devices through a structured cabling network to call centre staff. The system's central hub offers flexibility to change content source simply and effectively and can be configured, managed and controlled centrally or from any point on the local network.

proAV's design, technical and project management teams successfully created and delivered an integrated solution on time, within budget and according to the precise specification.

• 39 Panasonic 42" plasma displays installed onto ceilings and walls in strategic locations within nine call centres across the UK
• MediaStar Compact system incorporating video hub with IP browser, control interfaces and IR routing, receiver unit with IR handset, remote IR sensor module and IR Compact Blaster Module
• Various input devices including PCs, scan converters, Freeview decoders and Panasonic loud speaker arrangements
