City Index is part of IPGL, a privately owned company with a substantial shareholding in the world's leading derivatives broker, ICAP plc. Since its inception in 1983, the City Index trading platform has become an international frontrunner in the provision of Contracts for Difference, FX and Spread Betting transactions, conducting over 1.5 million monthly trades in over 50 countries.

When City Index made the decision to move to new, renovated London headquarters at Finsbury Circus in London, proAV was commissioned to deliver extensive professional audio visual and video conferencing systems. A wide range of office, meeting, conferencing and seminar rooms and trading floor of this Grade I listed building demanded an innovative, yet architecturally sympathetic AV solution throughout.

Sophisticated audio visual and video conferencing equipment that incorporated the industry's latest cutting-edge technology was installed throughout City Index's new London headquarters.

Specified equipment included numerous high-impact display systems, wide-ranging, fully-interactive audio and video conferencing and lecture and multimedia presentation facilities. In addition, an organisation-wide, non-LAN based TV distribution system was installed together with a dynamic digital signage network designed to manage displays from a central location.

proAV's design, technical and project management teams successfully delivered this high impact solution on time, within budget and according to the exact specification.

A number of specialist areas of City Index"s Grade I listed headquarters building were equipped with professional AV technologies, including:

• State-of-the-art eight panel infinite plasma wall (2403x1360mm) configured in an eye-catching 2 x 4 screen arrangement with content managed by in-house
• IT personnel and controlled by receptionist"s touch panel
• Ceiling recessed loudspeakers with audio input from range of source devices

Conference Room

• 2 x wall-mounted 46" LCD display screens
• Audio delivered via pairs of column speakers attached to display screens
• Input sources including PC, 2 x laptops, DVD and TV
• RF wireless keyboard and mouse site for PC interfacing from anywhere within room
• Controls via wireless 6" colour touch panel with functionality including source devices, lights, blinds and audio

Meeting Rooms 1 and 2

• TeamMate Tutor teaching desk with Smart classroom management software
